Dr Poliakin delivered my first child almost 9 years ago. It was a smooth pregnancy and delivery. Would recommend him to anyone looking for the best obgyn in thousand oaks area. Would definitely want to visit him again if I have the chance.

I'm heartbroken over my experience with Dr. Poliakin's office. I've had 4 different people recommend him for my next pregnancy so I was very excited to finally call and start our relationship! We're a military family so we have Tricare. Dr. Poliakin's website lists acceptable insurance and specifically states \Tricare: We support our military.\ I had also completed the necessary steps with Tricare to get a referral specifically to see Dr Poliakin AND spoke with the insurance company to be 110% sure I was authorized to see him. I finally called to set my 1st appointment but everyone I interacted with was very rude. It honestly felt like I made the office staff mad by daring to call and try to become a new client. Everything is completely approved through my insurance but the office staff at Dr Poliakin's business insist that they will not work with me as a Tricare client. Even my insurance company said they don't understand the issue and said the doctors office could call them to verify anything they have questions about. Dr. Poliakin's staff refused to do that and just kept telling me to see a different doctor. I'm so sad, truely heartbroken. For 2 years I've been looking forward to working with this doctor, yet I've been denied for no reason and treated terribly. If the office doesn't accept my insurance, that's fine. I get it, but you can be nice to people and take the time to get accurate information. Instead, it's just people not willing to spend 5 extra minutes to help me sort this out. This office does not support the Military, as they claim to online. It's sad to be discriminated against like this for no reason at all. Good luck to anyone else trying to work with this office. From what I hear, Dr. Poliakin is worth the hassle, but I wasn't able to find out.

I have been seeing Poliakin for about 7 years, maybe longer. I have been struggling with my weight, with terrible female problems, he's done a few procedures and took the time on New year's Eve to call me personally to let me know my biopsy was not malignant. He didn't want me to have to worry and wonder about it a second longer. He's funny, witty and smart. Has great taste in music and his staff have ALWAYS been lovely to me, and whether people want to believe it or not in the Conejo Valley overweight women are treated horribly by people. Not by this staff, they have always been kind, caring and supportive.

I love Dr Poliakin! He is like family to me! I have been a patient for over 28 years now! He has delivered 6 of the 8 babies I have given birth to. He has always been compassionate, kind and funny! He helped me through losses and shared in our joy with every baby! He is genuine and intuitive. He was awesome during my difficult surrogate twin pregnancy and delivery. We did the show A Baby Story with him! He has even delivered a couple of my granddaughters!! I would never see another Dr if I had the choice! Even if there’s a wait or have to reschedule, you know it’s because he is giving another mom and baby all he can. Which is exactly what you are going to get! He is the BEST!!
