Open Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday 2pm to 4pm. Outside is a large free parking area where motorhomes can stay overnight. Also interpretive trails from the parking that show the history of the flagstone industry that once thrived here.

Loved walking around the grounds and seeing the old buildings. Interesting to hear about the past of the castle.
Interesting museum, tasty cakes, and gorgeous flowers
Worth a look gives more recent history of the flagstone industry in area how it was operated and information back further to viking times.
The museum was closed but the trail was informative
What a place. This is a history nut that was blown away by the experience. Highly recommended for a tourist.
The exhibition about communication was interesting. Discussion with the two ladies working there revealed more fascination about life in the area over the past 40 years. Finally there was the Merlin Hurricane engine, its recovery and rich connection with real life prisoners from Stalag luftwaffe 3. A very worthwhile visit indeed
Not open but great to just walk round ...
