Very poor staff behaviour I had in this clinic the worse experience with a dentist ever: he cleaned my teeth without using any prophylactic paste on his probe, which was scratching my teeth and made my gum bleed... That was done just before the anaesthetics could work, therefore probably with intention to hurt. Why do I believe it was done on purpose? Because only part of the teeth were done before he left the room for letting the anaesthetics work. Then he came back, put a filling, THEN clean the teeth again, this time all of them and with prophylactic paste. At this stage, this bully of a dentist even shouted at his assistant as if it was her fault. Surely he should have known better: he was the professional dentist after all. And all that without a word nor even looking at me at any time. There was no justification for it either: I came on time and was very polite as usual. At the end I still had to pay for his work in spite of the fact that I largely contributed to NHS for more than 20 years by my taxes... When you go to practitioner and let your health in his hands, you want him to be good, professional and caring. You do not want him to be trouble minded, under stress or else, because at the end it is your health that is at stake!

I went to Dunbar Dental clinic with toothache. I had not been to the dentist for a long time and wasn't looking forward to the visit. Reading the two poor reviews here made me feel even more apprehensive. Actually it was all fine. I was treated well, from the moment I entered the building. The receptionist was polite and welcoming and the dentist was constantly checking I was comfortable and in no pain. Couldn't really fault the service I received.
