A dump truck with this company is being contracted to haul dirt out of a construction site in the Peninsula Neighborhood in Iowa City. The speed limit through the neighborhood on Foster Road is 25mph but the driver with this company seems to think it's okay to fly through going at least 35mph - even past the playground! This is a neighborhood where we have a lot of young kids who are constantly outside on their bikes and playing at the playground, and with the fact that there are several other dump trucks working on the same construction project and none of those drivers are finding it necessary to speed through the neighborhood and playground, makes this all the more unacceptable. Inconsiderate and disrespectful. Definitely not the work ethic I'd look for when hiring contractors for any construction project.
