The architectural glories of downtown Tifton don’t end at the turn of the century as you’ll uncover for yourself if you take a trip to the Tift Theatre. First opened in 1937, the structure is a fine example of the Art Deco period, with smooth curving lines drawing people in from far and wide. Now diligently restored to its former glory, come nightfall its large fin-like Carrara glass façade glows with neon lighting. The 650-seat theatre itself is the city’s premier performing space, hosting events as varied as classical music concerts, contemporary Broadway shows and Hollywood movie screenings.

This was a wonderful experience. What a sweet theater Tifton Georgia. The newly remodeled building still has it's old charm. The seating, perfect so everyone has an up close an personal experience. Serving cocktail's an a nice selection of beer. The parking is perfect and the staff are very polite an helpful . Service animal's an handicapped also have a real treat in this Gem of Georgia.

This venue and the experience I had there tonight was nothing short of incredible! The staff are SO friendly and they answer any questions you might have. Also, the acoustics are spot on (IF you're going there for a concert. Any other type of event, I can't speak to since this was my first visit here). The seats are SUPER comfortable and have more than enough leg room! I'm 6 feet tall and this place has the most oomy\ seats I've ever had the pleasure of sitting in. Also, they rock back and forth and at the same time they don't bother the person sitting directly behind you. If you see a band or even a Broadway show that's coming here, I couldn't recommend the Tift Theatre enough! I do have to say though that they are making BIG bucks with the snacks! A 2 pack of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups cost 2 but if you've got a sweet tooth then you'll definitely put out the money for the goods. A huge thanks to the staff, the volunteers and the venue for an AMAZING first experience! Even though I live over 2 hours away, it was well worth the drive and I hope to be able to come back one day soon because I already know that if I do, I won't be disappointed! :-)
