We love our state parks! It is hard to rank this park for a variety of reasons. The lake is beautiful, not to mention unusual. We came in January to see the eagles and we did! Saw a dozen or so on a fun park tour. It was cold so it was hard to get out and explore. Also, the visitor center and museum area were being remodeled and there is not much else to do in this very, very rural area. We stayed in one of the 7 cabins and they are very nice and well maintained. At least one of the cabins is handicapped accessible.

My husband is from Union city. We got married on Reelfoot lake in 2017, we try to visit at least once when we come to visit the family. This year we were fortunate to rent a house on Sunkist beach for a few days after Christmas, the kids enjoyed seeing the animals and the view was beautiful.

Reelfoot must be the most majestic place on earth. The history and the wildlife combined for the best vacation I've ever experienced. Cabin was incredible, right on the lake. Warren Douglas and Shane Morrow were two of the friendliest and most knowledgeable Rangers I'd ever met (and I have visited a lot of State and National Parks). My family and I made memories that will last a lifetime. Very grateful for these two outstanding rangers , all the eagles, and a lake that's not covered up with houseboats and jet skis. An outdoorsman's paradise.

If you enjoy birds its a good trip. My goal was to hit ever state park this year. However Reelfoot lake made me rethink that.

Beautiful park. Staff in office went out of their way to answer our questions. Rangers shared great knowledge. Put on bug spray! Great place to take family.
