This office did a wonderful job helping with my disability claim. Special thanks to Erika Rayford and Patti Bailey for their diligent work on the finalization of my case. They were so helpful answering my many questions and alleviating my concerns. They returned all calls and emails promptly and were knowledgeable and understanding. I would not have made it through this ordeal without the help of these two wonderful ladies.

I have heard how difficult it can be working with Social Security offices, however, my hat's off to the Toccoa office. My wife and I have had the good fortune to be served by Ben at the Toccoa office a number of times. Ben has always been friendly, courteous and extremely competent at his job. A couple of months ago I had a problem with Medicare that I was not able to resolve. Ben had given me his phone extension so I was able to contact him directly during the pandemic. While it took a couple of months to resolve I can only thank Ben for sticking with this, phoning me regularly to let me know where he was in the process and taking the issue to his superiors to help resolve it. Finally last week the issue was resolved. I know I could not have done that myself without Ben's help. Social Security needs more employees like Ben who actually care about their customers and are prepared to go the extra mile to resolve complex problems. Thanks Ben - we remain indebted to you!!!!

After over 32 years of government service I had little expectations when I contacted the SSA office in Toccoa for the first time. I was wrong. Erica Rayford was personable, professional and extremely knowledgeable as she led me through the application process. She took the time to explain each of the important points and was patient in explaining the intricacies of the process. Next was Steve Stombaugh, who completed my application. It is not easy the put a lifetime of work and injuries into a concise linier format, but Steve did an awesome job keeping me on point to that which was important to document. Both these officers did an outstanding job. While they were very clear that they could not advised me of any assured outcomes of my application, I believe because of their efforts that insured all relevant information was covered, I have the best chance of receiving the benefits that I an due.
