Explore our education programs online at www.westcoastnest.org. West Coast N.E.S.T. (Nature. Education. Sustainability. Transformation.) is a regional collaboration led by the Clayoquot Biosphere Trust along with communities, organizations, businesses, and individuals on the West Coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, from Hesquiaht to Ucluelet. The NEST was developed to expand local education opportunities, diversify the economy, and establish further employment opportunities. To achieve this vision, we carry out these four core activities: 1. Support the creation of new education and skills training programs for community members and visitors; 2. Communicate and market the region’s education programs; 3. Coordinate the delivery of education programs for visiting high school, university, and adult learners; and 4. Test a financial sustainability model for this regional education tourism initiative.
