Tokoname, Japan

This was a fun place to see examples of different styles of pottery. The shops were fantastic with super nice people. The prices of the pottery could vary from very reasonable to very expensive. The walking route was quite nice and a great way to spend a morning. I loved the bakery that was on site that used a furnace. Great stuff and a nice place. The tourist information staff were great and helped too.

There were recommended walk courses : 1.6km and 4km. Lots to see around like the Ceremic Hall, Giant lucky cat, Takeda Family Residence, Climbing Kiln Square, Tokoname City Folklore Museum, Tiling Workshop... and many typical household pottery studios. Do bring along a bottle of water and recommend to walk early in the morning or later in the afternoon as the weather was quite hot.
Tokoname is famous for its pottery. Although the style of their product is somehow very traditional Japanese, and the price is not cheap at all, the walk course was what I really enjoyed. It lasts around 90 minutes with cute pottery products. If the weather is nice you definitely have nice photos :)
A nice relaxing place for walking and feel the life of Japanese's creative, details and tidy!
