I also was ordered by Dr. Gretsinger to get a barium enema after a failed colonoscopy.It was a horrible experience, and it failed as well. Dr. Gretsinger said that I was moving around while under sedation, so the procedure was halted. There is no qualified medical person there to administer and monitor the anesthetic. I was not informed of this prior to the colonoscopy. At other clinics, like the Toledo Clinic, there are qualified medical staff to monitor the anesthesia, so the procedure would not have failed there. I learned this after the fact by a friend who is a physician. He told me to not go back to the Endoscopy Center but only go to a clinic that has a nurse anesthetist or anesthesiologist on site. Dr. Gretsinger has not replied to my request to meet with me to get an explanation from him as to his medical procedures and practices. I have since reported him to the State Medical Board Of Ohio and am considering legal action. You are welcome to join in a class action suit.
