This review is based on the end of February and beginning of March. My mom was there for roughly three weeks for surgery and has asked me to write this review. Almost all of the nurses were extremely wonderful (specifically McKenzie), except for Debra (African-American/40s) who was rude, lazy, had no bedside manner, and just didn’t want to do anything. Dr. DiBardino and his staff were wonderful. Because he was the only surgeon, he was busy, but I felt he took the time to explain things. I have to assume dietary is short-staffed. They messed up quite a bit. They came during lunch time to take the lunch order. They frequently forgot items or brought the wrong thing. They also made a big deal out of changing orders. However, Liz danced her way into rooms and was just a genuine pleasure to see in the hospital. I have to assume housekeeping is also short-staffed. Housekeeping was practically non-existent on the weekends, I saw one woman one time. My mom’s room had no paper towels, so I searched the visitor’s bathroom, which was also empty. I asked a staff member if she had any and the entire floor happened to be out. They left the toilet brush on my mom’s sink. The garbage had been full since Thursday and wasn’t taken until Sunday. Basically, they didn’t really come around and when they did, they didn’t do much. The medication list wasn’t filled out when she was discharged, so she had to call back later to verify what they had given her and when; the woman who answered said this wasn’t the first time the discharge papers weren’t filled out for patients. A minor inconvenience, but it should have been done. The coffee shop when you first walked in was always closed because of staffing issues. I had to go across the road for coffee and food, but that shop too, had one employee handling everything because of staffing issues, so there was a bit of a wait. TL:DR: \tGood: NURSES!!! (EXCLUDING DEBRA) Bad: Housekeeping, Dietary (EXCLUDING LIZ), Coffee Shop

I just wanted to thank the nursing staff on the first floor in particular Peggy and Sharon for going above and beyond the call of duty. My father was Charlie Brown (room 1028) and he was very well taken care of before passing away on November 6, 2018. Again thank you for your service as a nursing staff.

Do not report here for ANY Cardiac emergency. They DO not have a Cardiologist 24/7 and they do not come in if needed. How do you call yourself a Heart/Vascular Center when the experts are NOT there in an emergency??? They killed my husband on 8/9/16
