Loved the gothic architecture, Spanish tiles and orange trees! This is such a charming monastery hidden away in Toledo. Come for the beautiful ceiling arches and the orange trees in the courtyard! Note: Visit prior to COVID, so things may have changed.

Great histoeical architecture! Especially loved the tiled floors and sculpted ceilings and walls! Entry fee was only EUR3

Maybe one of the most beautiful courtyards in Spain - stunning and protected by the birds by a giant net. There is a small fee for entry so take cash because the minimum transaction amount on card number is; of course higher than the entry fee. Considering I didn’t have cash and the nearest ATM is 20 minutes walk away, the lovely girl let me use my card

Really stunning church, cloisters and monastery. An excellent audio guide - really informative. The cloisters are just stunning. We enjoyed just sitting in the cloisters enjoying the incredible architecture.

The convent of San Juan de los Reyes monastery is one of the most valuable examples of the Elizabethan Gothic style and the most important building erected by the Catholic Monarchs. The convent is also a monument commemorating the achievements of the Catholic Monarchs and their political programs, San Juan de los Reyes shows the glory of the monarchs that had united the different Christian kingdoms and were fighting to conquer the last Muslim square of the Iberian Peninsula, the Kingdom of Granada.
