We were so lucky to stumble in at the right time. Located just down the street from where we are staying is Plaza del Toros Toledo. When we managed to find an entry point it was more to a random carpark and maintenance area, the gentleman we bumped into took us on a fantastic tour of the ring, including showing us where the bulls enter, the bull pen and the stalls, the onsite operating theater (if necessary) and chapel for the matadors. Although the man only spoke spanish we learnt so much from this impromptu tour.

Awesome guide and so much knowledge he made our time in Toledo memorable well worth a visit. Sometimes it's the knowledge of people who have lived and experienced things first hand that makes it so special.

Just us in the Bullring. The local caretaker showed us around. Although we do not agree with bullfighting the area is magnificent.
