If you're in a rental car, carry change with you. They're unmanned booths and you need 1.50 in coins. Let that sink in, A TOOL BOOTH AT A MAJOR AIRPORT *IS UNMANNED*. Where are we, Orlando? To make it worse, if you decide to use the IL Toll website to pay online and use the \7 days to pay\ option, the moment you click to indicate 'rental car', the soonest rental start/end period only allows rental dates to be entered from two weeks ago. I can't enter that I returned the car yesterday and want to pay today, I have 7, and exactly 7 days to log in and make my payment. It wouldn't surprise me if there's something going on between the rental car companies and the toll booth authority as there must be some sort of kickback after I pay my 'service fee' to the rental car company.

It’s delightful! The lovely hum of traffic whizzing by and the throwback coins-only policy make me think that Toll Booth Plaza 31 should be renamed Toll Booth Oasis 31. “Get an iPass,” the locals shout. But why would I want to miss all that Toll Booth Plaza 31 offers!?
