The Petroleum Learning Centre, a joint project of Heriot-Watt University (UK) and Tomsk Polytechnic University (Russia), was set up to train qualified personnel capable of working in the current Russian petroleum industry. The Centre implements innovative postgraduate training programmes, delivering internationally acknowledged MSc degrees. During a year-long curriculum that incorporates various training phases, our students obtain multi-disciplinary theoretical knowledge, master excellent teamwork skills and obtain invaluable experience of independent work addressing actual operation issues of the petroleum industry.
