It's stunning, you can see it from far. Visit Tongeren on a Sunday morning to walk the largest antiques market in Belgium, look around the oldest city of the country and its Roman wall and museum. There's also a Benienhof that survived a big fired that once consumed most of the city. There's much to see and learn and this beautiful town.

Tongeren's UNESCO Belfry belongs to its Basilica - Basilica of Our Lady. The treasury and the archaeological excavations of the Basilica can be accessed through Teseum.
All the relics in one place. It's really great. Worth seeing
Absolutely beautiful church. Well worth going off the beaten path to see.
As all of the displays of grandeur by the Catholic church this basilica was magnificent, well worth a visit for us heretics too.
What a beauty! This church is one of the nicest one I saw in
Tongeren is a small town we stayed over night for the antique market and wee lucky to stumble into the basilica during a organ concert. The church is beautiful. I would love to go back for the crowning of Mary they do once every 7 years- including this heart 2016
Interesting to see the different wallwork at the Roman back outside
