Blueberry Hill Aug 2 – 8, 2020 What a delightful cabin with some unique cabin design, spotlessly clean, bright and spacious, ideally suited for four people. The convenience of having an additional bathroom and sitting/changing room upstairs, particular helpful, especially for two married couples. The Nantahala Lake area had all the thrills and spills we expected for a vacation destination and within an easy 15-minute drive to the Nantahala River had all the available businesses for whitewater, zip-lining and fly-fishing. Wherever we ventured we had beautiful Mountain Views, wild flowers and breathtaking sunsets. Thank you to our hosts. We had a wonderful time and will be back next year.

Blueberry Hill-This will be the last time we will stay here as it was very disappointing at arrival. Due to the lack of accommodations for the week of our stay we chose to deal with it instead of arguing over a refund on our vacation. At booking I specifically ask if there was a hot tub and was told yes. Once we arrived a smell was potent at the cabin. We opened hot tub cover to find dirty green, slimy water. The owner appeared on the porch and stated she sent an email that the hot tub was out of order and in the process of being repaired. But I believe from the odor and sight this hot tub has been out of order for awhile as the water and smell was not a week old. Then in the drive way of the cabin where there is very little turn around room is a broke down cart with a missing wheel. It is an eye sore and in the way to park. The fence around the cabin is falling down and being held in place with a rope. The charcoal grill is broken and none of the grates fit the grill and is unusable. We had to go back down the mountain and purchase a grill for the week. Then to top everything else inside the cabin smelled like moth balls and sweet berries and stunk horribly. When we started to bathe the same night, no hot water. My husband called the owner, Maggie, and was told What are you trying to do? He said bathe, do laundry and was told well I forgot to tell you. You have to turn the shower on and let it run until you get hot water in the kitchen sink. It was more work to stay in this cabin than to relax. This went on all week no hot water. When I washed white clothes the cold water turned my white clothes orange. They are ruined. Well to then top it off the refrigerator did not stay cold and our food ruined. Don’t stay here if you are looking for relaxation as it too much work to try to cook, bathe or anything. They really should refund our money on food and clothing. We will not be staying in the future.
We having been coming here for years. Steve and Maggie are the best! The cabins are perfect in every way. Best kept secret.
MOUNTAIN HOSPITALITY AND TRAIL MAGIC ABOUNDS Wow! From the moment of our arrival I knew we made an excellent choice. Maggie and Steve are fantastic hosts and they ensured that every aspect of our stay was perfect. From guided canoe trips to whitewater rafting to zip-lining and an informative hike along the AT, our mountain experience was top-notch. The property is impeccably clean while being both cozy and rustic. You can do as much or as little as you want while staying here. When we return to this beautiful corner of the Nantahala National Forest, we will certainly stay with Maggie and Steve again. This is the perfect spot for your mountain getaway.
would defiantly recommend to anyone wanting a nice relaxing vacation in the woods!!! loved it!!
