I have been coming to this place for over 30 years. It really is a Toronto staple in the heart of Little Italy. If you have not visited The Dip then have you even been to Toronto? Best patio in little italy. Great food and a great place to share a drink and people watch.

Delicious fried calamari!! Delicious Carbonara! Delicious thin crust pizza! Delicious seafood pasta!! All the food was really tasty!! Congratulations!! You get thumbs up for everything we tried

Tortellini soup had no flavour- just tortellini in tasteless watery broth. I had to add salt, thats how unflavourful it was. I think this place gets high reviews for its patio, which is great for its ambiance - but i wouldn't come here for the food.

Arrived at 9:00 pm tonight, August 29th With 2 friends and was greeted by a very nice young lady. We signed in and we’re seated on the patio within 5 minutes. Great start 5 more minutes and we have drinks and menus although even though I request lemon and not lime with my drink a lime does indeed show up. No harm no foul and shortly a nice slice of lemon arrives. Then we order, 1 lentil soup (very good according to guest #2, 1 focaccia (same guest also pretty good) 1 veal scallopinni (guest 3, cold but tasty) 1 pizza waiting ... 10 minutes... waiting 20 minutes.... flag waiter who clears plates and says the pizza is on its way... 39 minutes and guest #1, has had enough, I pay for my drink and walk... waiter tells remaining guests they had to remake the pizza and it will be out shortly, except I have left so forget it... the other guests pay and off into the night we go... the sad part is the pizza is supposed to be really good sadly I will never know because I will never waste my time at Diplomatico again... worst server in my 50 plus years in Toronto. Off to Pizzaville or somewhere I go.
