It is trite to say that the passing of our loved ones is amongst the most traumatic experiences that we face in life. Decisions have to be made quickly and responsibly, in spite of any pre-arrangements that are in place, and our ability address these matters are definitely compromised as a result of our state of mind. We invariably must turn to experts during this difficult time and count on them to organize, administer and execute necessary requirements on our behalf which span a number of levels. The Cardinal Funeral Home has served my family's needs on two occasions in the past 5 years and their service and support has been exemplary. Paul Ristoff was in charge of the full administration of my mother's recent passing and he was kind, considerate and empathetic in a sincere and genuine manner. He precisely and accurately explained everything and essentially took care of absolutely each and every detail from the moment we set foot in the funeral home to the point that we parted ways after the burial. All of the staff was equally courteous, supportive and accommodating on every level. The requirements imposed on funeral homes during the COVID lockdowns are onerous and bordering on draconian and insensitive, however, Cardinal made it all quite manageable, keeping in mind that this is, after all, for our own health and safety. For a reasonable extra fee, we were able to have the funeral and burial live streamed, and even incorporate a video of our son playing a commemorative song on a piano in California for his grandmother, since he could not come home. People from around the world were able to log in and view the event which was presented beautifully, and the feedback was most favourable. Inasmuch as we all wish that we could avoid the painful inevitability of death, and everything that we need to do, to properly deal with it, it is good to know that the Cardinal Funeral Home is there to temper the trauma and help us through it. My father and our family would like to thank the staff at Cardinal Funeral Homes - Annette site, for their professionalism, compassion, support and guidance during this difficult time in making funeral arrangements for our mother. Having never gone through this process before the staff were extremely accommodating and put us at ease when making any decisions. Mark, you were amazing in coordinating and supporting us before and during the service, as well as at the burial. Christine, thank you for making our mom look beautiful, especially for our dad. Kevin, Tom and Mike, you were all so helpful in make things run smoothly. Katherine, many thanks for helping go through all the paperwork as our Extended Family Care Specialist. You are a great team and we appreciate everything you have have done for our family.
Cardinal and staff took care of everything after my grandads passing , the team of staff were extremely compassionate, efficient , knowledgeable and caring. The guidance I received in regards to his cremation , official paperwork and any follow up questions I had, were handled very mindfully. This made my experience during this difficult time much easier to cope with for myself and family . I will highly recommend Cardinal funeral home to anyone I know.
Our family has been using Cardinal Funeral Homes since 1969 when we buried my grandmother. I still remember the warmth, care and compassion was shown by everyone we came into contact with. In 2015 I buried my mother and just recently my father in October of 2019. The people at Cardinal Funeral Homes showed the same care, warmth and compassion today as they did 50 years ago. I truly believe that a family run business provides better care and service than a large organization. And you can tell and feel that from those who work at Cardinal Funeral Homes.
