Warm atmosphere, courteous professional staff and exquisite food. This was my tenth visit and as a guest. Who can resist a free meal? From the garlic bread and tasty pickles, lobster bisque soup, scallops, steak tartar, perfectly fine steak, well chosen red wine, accompanying mushrooms/baked potatoes right down to the desserts with coffee, not a complaint can be heard from the three of us. And I can complain with the best of them. Plus the aroma of burning wood on a cold night is bound to warm the coldest of hearts.

Fantastic restaurant. Great food menu. Great drinks menu. Superb service. All staff are top notch. Have never had better service. The food was beyond expectation. Full of flavour and satisfying to the last bite. The atmosphere is second to none. Relaxing ambiance with candle light and a rich musk fire place burning a true wood fire. Absolutely an all time new favourite. Will definitely return in future visits to Toronto.

Think of Carmen's like a time capsule... enter and feel whisked away to a time when a dimly lit, subtle decor with intricate and substantial woodwork were signs of class and civilization. The place has style. Enjoy superb service and supreme cuts of meat, complimented by a well-informed wine list... it's a traditional steak house in the truest sense. What a beauty. We were a gang of 20 guys (in the front room) and were very well serviced. There are also great 1-to-1 and small-group tables as well (e.g. in the back near the fireplace)... and for once our group managed not to annoy any of the other patrons. This is a testament to the superior layout of this classic restaurant. For example the ground floor bar services multiple rooms through different entrances/windows... so our "high volume" group likely had no impact on the experience of other diners. Well done Carmen's, I suspect we'll be back.

DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT Service is ok. But the food is terrible. I had soup and steak, the french onion soup is so salty that it feels like they don't need to pay for salt. The 42 10oz filet steak tastes so bitter that I can't have a second bite.

RUN! SAVE YOUR MONEY! Went here for a new years eve dinner for 100 a plate plus a non optional %22 gratuity. Had a 4 course meal of which only 1 plate (dessert) was satisfactory. They should have been embarrassed to serve the Caesar salad that they did. They completely forgot to serve our second course. Ordered a medium rare steak and received a steak that was well done on the outside and rare on the inside. I mean so rare it was cold. And my kid brother can make more flavourful mashed potatoes. There was such a lack of flavour and the consistency was so dry I'm convinced they were from a box. This was the most expensive meal Ive ever had and could not have been more let down. Worst 280 I've ever spent.

We had an amazing meal and evening out at Carmen’s. The wine list was great and the meal was fabulous. Luis was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, he gave us a very in depth and interesting history of the restaurant. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends and will be returning my next trip to Toronto. A

The service was great, but to be honest I was very disappointed about the food. I got the 25 oz dry aged porterhouse steak for 85. It had no flavour. felt like there was no seasoning at all. It was also quite dry and tough, very little juices. I wanted medium... but some parts were well done, some parts were rare. there was very little fat and marbling in the steak. I'm skeptical if it was actually dry aged.
