Charlene has improved my technique, introduced me to more effective exercises and has pushed me to my max, giving me more confidence in what my body can do, and has helped me to gain more lean muscle mass. The reason I started going to the gym was to combat my high metabolism that quickly burns through everything I eat, keeping me slim. Weights, weights, weights it has been over the last 7 years, working out on my own, teaching myself how to train effectively. I have had success in bulking up, and putting on some muscle mass, but I asked myself what I could be doing better to improve my technique, training routine and diet, all in the effort to continue increasing my strength and body mass. This is where Charlene’s Dexterity Fitness has been a huge improvement to how I approach working out, while refocusing and motivating my personal goals. Charlene has improved my technique, introduced me to more effective exercises and has pushed me to my max, giving me more confidence in what my body can do. She is the trainer that will get you where you want to be PERIOD. Her approach is one of understanding what you are capable of…she has a great sense of picking up on one’s present ability and guides them well past what they thought their bodies could do. She will make you work, sweat and push you to the max. You will do a double take as at one moment you are laughing together, telling a joke or two and in the next she is all business and you are waiting to hear the words “one more”, but she knows just as well as you do that you have at least two or three more left in you. I have been working with Charlene for over the last two years, coming in when I can, learning new programs to do on my own, and enjoying every minute I am there. Whether you are looking to lose weight or like me, refocus your current training regimen, Charlene Carroll and Dexterity Fitness is where you should start. Bottom line folks…she exemplifies what every professional personal trainer should be.

My personal training with Charlene has been excellent. She gives positive encouragement and feedback. I feel I can ask her anything and there are no wrong questions. I thought it was a loss cause due to the fact I work shift work, and I believed I could never achieve my goals. But she reassured me by sharing resources that outline proper time to train and eat when I work overnight shifts. I started to believe that I could take better care of myself while still working to take care of others. She also corrected some of my beliefs on exercising and proper sleep and diet. She introduced me to Facial Stretch Therapy, which is great for me due to the fact that I have stiff joints and muscles due to my shift working. Overall I have regained my confidence back because of her. I am now using proper techniques while exercising, I have lost weight and inches and even took part in a second half marathon back in Oct 2018. I feel confident that a shift worker like myself can have proper training and eating habits while continuing to take care of others! Thank you Charlene!
