I cannot rave enough about how fantastic Dr.Abells is. He is kind and caring and goes above and beyond with his OB patients. If you want an OB who will guide you through your pregnancy and support you during the delivery, then Dr.Abells is the right doctor for you. We are very thankful to him for bringing our little miracle into this world.

Great experience. Dont know why ppl rate this type of service.... but as I saw untruthful comments I felt the need to share our own thoughts. We had a fantastic experience with him as our doctor.

One of two main reasons I changed doctors is that I was fed up with being given times for appointments and being made to wait anywhere from 30 minutes to over an hour in his waiting room and/or examination room for a 30 minute consult. On more than a few occasions he blew whole mornings or afternoons for me. In my first consult with Dr Abells I told him that I operate in tight schedules and appointments and need appointments to be punctual (understanding of course unforeseen emergencies and being 15 minutes late etc. happens to all of us). He then proceeded on a lengthy assurance that doesn't happen with him and he doesn't double book like other doctors etc. On my first appointment with him where I was to be informed of some high levels in my lab results I sat in his waiting room for 35 minutes after our scheduled time. Annoyed, I asked if Dr Abells was running late and was told no I was his first patient and he'll be with me soon (20 minutes late so far). Another patient waiting there then told me while shaking her head that Dr Abells is always late. At the 35 minute mark I got up and left. I was then called as I was driving away that he was available. I told his assistant that I'm driving and to call me with a new time that they will respect and she agreed. No call. After calling to enquire I was told I too was late for my initial meeting with Dr Abells a couple of months ago (lie, I was 30 minutes early because I had mistakenly put in in my calendar that way). I was also told that the Doctor sent a letter advising me to find another Doc. I liked Dr Abells when we first met. His speech about how he's different and only sees \3 patients a day\ to avoid having people wait very long was impressive. I wish he would have been truthful. There was no emergency that day. Half an hour into it I was basically told to sit down and wait. Another patient and today his assistant inadvertently told me he's always late. These are the facts as they happened.
