I honestly didnt know what a Momo was before coming here. For simplicity you could think of it as a dumpling. But then the cooking style needs to be identified - which is cool because Garleek offers all 3 styles! There's deep fried, pan fried, and steamed! The textures drastically change but all 3 taste delicious. Whats great is the wrapping is made, flavored and done in house. They have a great selection of sauces, my personal favorite are the deep fried beef momos, but they have chicken and vegetarian as well. There's also classics like fried rice, noodles and Tibet Spinach Dip which is a great unique take on the classic. Service was incredible and the head chef took the time to greet us and say hi which was a nice touch.
Excellent, delicious, fresh food served up by a very friendly head chef! We had the mixed pan-fried momos and the thentuk noodles with beef. Both were outstanding! Highly recommend swinging by when you’re in the Little Tibet area.
Delicious momos! We ordered the veggie steamed, and chicken and beef pan fried. Full of flavour and tender meat. They have a selection of hot sauces too (medium and very hot). Really fast takeout, our food was ready in 10mins.
Tried out Garleek Kitchen's momo's a few days ago and found them to be excellent. A variety of beef, chicken and vegetarian momo's delighted, with great flavours and generous portions. A side of chilli with large portions of chilli, tomatoes and onions added a delicious warmth and spice. Overall, for a price of 14 dollars, with the extra cost of pan frying and the chilli, Garleek Kitchen's momo's made for an excellent meal.
Got the Tibetan breakfast platter with sweet tea. Egg, fresh hot flatbread, spicy potato curry (aloo dum), chickpea curry (channa) and salad for less than 10 with tax is an amazing deal. Great service, fast, big portion size, will definitely be back for more. I’ve spent some time in the Himalayas and this took me right back!
Their service and food quality are very consistent, the food is really good and has a unique flavour profile compared to other similar restaurants I have tried. I highly recommend their breakfast combo.
Such a great meal! Super inexpensive for quality food and the workers were so friendly. Definitely going to visit again and would recommend.
