My husband and I were so thoroughly impressed by the service provided by Gotcare when we started our search for a caregiver for my mother-in-law living rurally. The initial response to our inquiry was same-day. When we found the time to connect back with Rod, he was very honest, upfront, and professional about the likelihood of finding a nurse based on the time/schedule and financial commitment we had in mind. Soon after, Carole (company founder and seasoned OT) followed up having vetted a seasoned PSW, and genuinely connected with our expressed needs and the complexity of my MIL's health/care situation. I have been working and interacting with the health/home care sectors (as a family caregiver myself) for ten years and have never felt this understood, supported, and realistically guided. Although my in-laws ultimately decided not to pursue PSW support through Gotcare, I would highly recommend Gotcare's services to anyone I care about and love their self-directed model and equitable opportunity stance that promotes authentic care partnerships between clients, family care partners, and health care workers. I am an Occupational Therapist with over 30 years experience. I have used other companies offering PSW services however Gotcare offers a superior experience. The owner is also an Occupational Therapist and thoroughly understands client needs. She is often able to offer innovative solutions to various clients to effect a proper match between the service provider and client. Gotcare has access to thousands of PSWs in the province, which is a tremendous advantage in assisting clients living in more remote areas and offering several potential candidates in most areas of the province. The portal is very user friendly greatly facilitating the referral process. I have been very satisfied with Gotcare and would highly recommend them to health care providers who demand high quality care for their clients.
