Poorly managed pet store. Items are often out of stock. Customer service is mediocre to non-existent. Staff is not knowledgeable about products or pet nutrition at all. I'm glad they no longer offer grooming because my dog came back limping and I've heard similar problem from other pet owners. Oh and if you do buy something from here, double check the expiration date!

I used to always take my dogs here for grooming - it was average priced and they did a good job for the most part, but then something changed. I recommended them to my mom to get her dogs groomed, my husband volunteered to take them for her. When he dropped them off, they had to walk outside to get to the grooming area. A few minutes later, the employee came back with a leash with an empty collar and said "you might want to go get your dog." It took my husband a second to figure out what was going on, and eventually ran out to see my mom's dog running up the middle of Bathurst street. My husband chased him (alone) for a good 10 - 15 minutes before finally catching him. Accidents happen, my mom's dog can be skittish in the city - and normally they were great - so we gave them another chance. They did not apologize for letting my mom's dog escape and charged us full price for the grooming. The next time we took our dogs to this groomer, they came back with cuts in their skin from the hair cut, no one from the company thought to let us know they cut our dog. We found out later when we saw him bleeding. I saw that they are under new management, so I wasn't going to leave this review (as it happened a little while ago) but when I went in recently they told me it's the same owners, they just fired one guy. I don't know if they do grooming anymore, but I don't want this to happen to any other dogs. For a pet store, I don't know how they have such little regard for our pets.
If you're wondering about how things have changed with the new management, this may disappoint you. I went in to grab a few items for a event I was going to. The clerk (who seems to be there whenever I go in - unsure if he's higher up or not?) was very kind, even giving me a few freebies for the event. That was, until, we got to the topic of raw food. Now, I understand a lot of people love it, but my dog cannot have it. He's on a veterinarian food. I mention this because the clerk was going super heavy on recommending raw food for most of the time I was there. I even told him that my dog couldn't have it (and why), but he kept going. He insinuated that the food I had my dog on was not as good, and that it would "only ensure a certain lifespan". Which, frankly, was offensive. I do not appreciate fear-mongering, particularly when it is in relation to my dog. At this point, I was getting frustrated with him, but I kept it cool and finished up paying before leaving. I paused briefly near the stairs by the Tim Horton's to check my phone, and before I knew it, guess who had followed me outside? The same clerk (who was the only person working, so go figure for abandoning the store to do this?), to continue preaching about raw food, even giving me samples of freeze-dried raw food. He apologized if I "had somewhere to be", but seemed totally content to follow someone once they had left the store. To a certain extent, I do have sympathy. The store looks like it's struggling even after the management change, and you want to get customers to buy your products. But I had stated why I wasn't giving raw food, and was ignored. These aren't the type of people I want to buy anything from, much less my dog's food. There's a difference between being a bit pushy and completely ignoring your customer. I have been a customer for nearly two years, and I will not be returning.
consistently rude staff member. gives me the creeps.won't be going there again
Do not shop here. Insanely over priced, horrible product selection, and poor customer service
Just walked there in a show storm and they literally have nothing. Empty shelves. Haven't restocked in months. Both workers were outside smoking again, which wouldn't have been so bad if they actually had anything in stock, but just the icing on the cake of how they don't care about their customers. Won't be going back again even though they're currently the only one in the area.
I went to buy food for my cat and staff introduce me to cat food area and recommended origin. So I grab a bag but after went back home, when opened it I realized that’s actually DOG FOOD!!! Luckily my cat didn’t get sick. I went back to store to exchange for cat food. However, without and explanation or apologize, the store staff showed very BAD ATTITUDE, scorn, no explanation, refuse to apologize, claiming it’s all customers fault that we took the wrong bag. Refused all words he said before and said he never put dog food to cat area. He claimed that we will never be able to reach the manager or owner. No security camera,. He said : if you want to claim you can send to store email. But that GOES TO ME, so there is nothing we could do. WILL NEVER GO BACK! DISAPPOINTED!
They are extremely nice and have a great selection of busy anything you may need. Would totally recommend.
