Was staying at the hotel for the government three-night quarantine. The hotel is next to Terminal 3 which you can just walk from the airport. I have attached a brief route map below that shows you how you can walk to the hotel after completing the Covid-test. Staffs are friendly, check-in time is a little bit longer than usual. Depending on the number of arriving passengers, it takes about 20 minutes from the hotel entrance to the check-in counter. The room’s decoration is a little bit old but you can see the runway clearly through the windows. Internet is a bit slow, if you need a fast connect the premium Internet is an option. Food is delivered to the door at a specific time of the day. If you want to get the food earlier, it is recommended to choose the lower floor for your stay. Every meal comes with a bottle of water, so you can drink plenty of water. The room doesn’t have a kettle, so if you need hot water please contact the room service. The breakfast menu seems to be the same every day, but there are many different options. For lunch and dinner, there are usually come two different options. There are not many takeout options there, but if you order the takeout, the delivery guy will leave your order in the lobby and staff will take that to your room. You can request to have a 15 minutes walk-out two times per day. I usually walk to the Starbucks in the terminal and take out drinks, but make sure to go early because that store has a special running time. Overall, I feel this is a good choice of the mandatory 3 days quarantine hotel.

Considering this was a mandatory 3 day quarantine and reading all the bad reviews I was not expecting much. Happy to report that Sheraton Gateway did not let us down. The food was not fine dining but it was hot and quite tasty with a few choices per meal and even included desserts. We had some issues with meal deliveries but calls to room service were answered and accommodated. All staff interactions were respectful.

The worse hotel ever! The staff is super unprofessional. Every time you call You will get a different answer. I booked my parents mandatory quarantine here. First of all they booked a wrong room and luckily called just to check if everything is okay or not. Then I came to know. Highly unprofessional and rude.

I quarantined here for 3 days upon landing in Canada. Cost me 1260 CAD for 3 nights. I was a single person. Staff is super friendly. Rooms are large. Huge TV. Very clean. Problem was super patchy internet. Very bad internet reception. Complained multiple times, no resolution provided. Also multiple times they forgot to give me menu sheet for the next day.

The mandatory hotel stay was not what I expected from reading in the social media : First the food was coming on time The staff was friendly they attended to our need when ever we called them You are allowed to order things from outside like food and beverages, The room was spacious You are allowed to have a wellness walk when you ask for it Or smoke outside if you are a smoker , if you have a cultural or religious restriction like us (Muslims) they will accommodate to the best of their ability

The manager here is clearly unable to cope with the numbers of people booking for government quarantine. Over 50 people in line last night to check in, some waiting for 2 hours. She created a completely unsafe COVID environment with everyone waiting in a small unventilated space and has ensured long term reputational damage to the Sheraton brand. All of this could have been avoided with some strategic thinking and planning. Saying ‘this is how we normally do things’ and shrugging, is not acceptable in this environment!
