There is plenty of parking to start off. There is plenty of space at this dog park, enough shade for the hot days, and benches for owners. The park is comprised of mostly sand. There are plenty of pups to socialize with throughout the day, due to the fact that the majority of visitors are dog walkers. The one thing missing is a drinking fountain for dogs, do not forget your water bottle.

Fortunately it’s close to my house, unfortunately it’s also for commercial dog walkers that flood this place at all times of the day. I’m not a pretentious dog owner and i appreciate dogs will be dog but a lot of these walkers have no licenses and literally take any kind of dog. A lot with some attitude problems (dogs & walkers alike). Also the gravel and lack of shade make it one of the less favourable places to bring your dog to run.

Named after Sir Kazimierz Stanislaus Gzowski. An engineer best known for his work on Canadian railways, the Welland Canal and also serving as acting Lieutenant Governor of Ontario... and possible dog lover? Oddly shaped off leash dog area with soft sand underfoot, so no winter mud in this one. Few benches to chill on while your dog checks out the butts on offer. Something to note and a possible problem for our nervous four legged friends. Dog walkers use this park a lot! Mostly during the week, you can have more than one with 4-5 dogs each. Although always friendly but sometimes manic and in very large groups, if you dog is nervous, they can have a hard time here.

Convenient dog park that is not to busy. During lunch hours several dog walkers bring large packs of dogs that are not always friendly to outsider dogs. Beware.

I love the Sir Casimir dog park. I'm there several times a week. It's fenced with two double gated entrances and there are plenty of garbage and recycling containers as well as several well-maintained benches. It's set away from the bike path so the surrounding area is quieter. The fence is a bit low so if you have a dog that jumps fences, take care. There is also no water access for the dogs although there is a water fountain on the path between the bike path and the park that's handy for refilling water containers. The ground is sand so you can avoid the mud that can become a problem in most dog parks and almost everyone is careful about cleaning up after the dogs. It is frequented by great dog walkers during the day.
