Super friendly staff, great breakfast (13 kinds of cereals and 6 kinds of bagels served from 7am-1pm!), activities from BBQ to karaoke every day! View on the roof top is also gorgeous. Only thing I don’t like that much is the small room size. 6-people room is quite crowded, and there isn’t much personal space if you need more privacy. Also not recommended if you need a super quiet place to sleep- the room door makes noises every time you open or close it.

Stayed in August 2019. Fantastic hostel! I had such a blast here and made several friends who I still regularly keep in contact with a year later. The staff are great and very attentive to your needs. There are social events nearly every day so even if you're traveling solo and need to meet new people to hang out with, this is a very easy place to do that. Also, one of the most beautiful rooftop patios I've ever seen while staying somewhere. Only drawback was it was still a good 20 minute walk from the closest subway station, but street car and bus stops were very nearby, so it ended up not being an issue and the surrounding area is pretty walk-able anyway. I was worried they'd go down under because of Covid-19 but I recently heard they're opening back up soon and still in business, so the next time I get to travel to Toronto again, I definitely know where I'll be staying!
The Planet Travaler Hostel is an amazing place! The bedrooms are clean and comfortable. All the bedrooms have a private bathroom and lockers. They offer a breakfast for free with cereal, milk, bread, jam... and you have coffe, tea, chocolate and popcorn for free all day! The hostel also offers activities, for example, fitness fun, karaoke, movie night! It’s really cool and the staff is adorable!
Really cozy and homely. Great bathrooms. Insane amount of cereal choices at breakfast. The rooftop has a beautiful view of the skyline and lots of seating. You can tell right away that they really put effort into this place.
Best hostel if been so far, stayed there twice. Breakfast till 1pm. Love it, Hugh selection of cereals and bagels. Really in the city center, everything is close. They have parking behind the house for 10-15, free computer Mac to use all day, free hot chocolate & coffee all day & even popcorn!!! So loved that. Everything is really clean & well organized. Guest/ friends are allowed to bring. They have party’s - best was film festival party on the rooftop with cheap drinks 2/3 and live band! The view from the roof is amazing- you can see the cnn tower.
The hostel is very clean at anytime of the day which is pretty good for a hostel. I’ve stayed in a 6 shared bedroom, it has its own bathroom (toiletshower), the room is a little bit small in my opinion if 6 people have a huge suitcase but anyway, my 2 nights were good there, friendly staff, nice kitchen, good breakfast from 7am to 1pm (large breakfast time). Very close to the tram, easy to join
Honestly the best and cleanest hostel I've ever stayed in. Awesome location. Bathroom is located in each 6-person dorm and is cleaned EVERY day. Free lockers provided in rooms, including a key. Free computers and Wi-Fi. Phones in private booths I think charged at call rate. Kitchen was actually clean all the time. Some free items available to use when cooking. Great views from the deck area. Events on each night and local events listed daily. Staff available to give help and directions. They had a special offer for a falls and winery day trip. If you get to the falls I'd also recommend going to the butterfly conservatory in the botanic gardens (15 mins on the bus loop there - free with the falls day pass). I think it was about 30 for a 2 day pass. We used ours one day then gave it away to other people at the hostel to use the next day. Don't stay anywhere else!!!
Really comfy bed and clean rooms/bathrooms. The view is awesome and the location is so convenient (right beside Kensington Market and Chinatown). Staff were helpful and friendly (especially Harry!) They also have cool events every day such as free pasta dinner, karaoke, movie nights etc. I would definitely stay here again!! The only downside is it's not accessible if you're not able-bodied (there's no elevator, only stairs).
