This is a business owned and operated by two people who are truly passionate about their trade and who operate as the face of the business. What you see is what you get, honest fair people, in a straight up, trustworthy and courteous environment. I have purchased 3 second hand timepieces from their shop and will be back for more. They all run great and are backed by the shops support after purchase. REALTIME prices, good value on trade ins. We bought our wedding bands and some diamond crosses from this store in 2015 and customer service was fantastic, We are in another city and have an anniversary coming up so I decided check the website out again. They had a beautiful pair of 18k Cartier Love earrings. Perfect for my wife as she loves Cartier. I contacted the online inquiry and asked for a better photo of the earring in a woman ear. I got a prompt reply from Barbara with a photo. They were lovely. The entire process of purchasing and shipping was easy and fast. Great place for luxury jewellery if your in the market to save money !!
Saw an impressive watch inventory online and was looking forward to meeting the staff. I wanted to sell a timepiece I owned before buying, or at least seeing if I could get a fair trade. Sent a few emails but the team seemed to be more interested in me buying rather than selling/trading. Tried to book an appointment to have someone take a look at my timepiece in person and was promptly ignored. Disappointed that I wasn’t able to begin an amicable relationship with Van Rijk.
Today I was delighted to meet a wonderful, honest man. Alec Van Rijk has a passions for jewellery and it shows. I have had others look at my pieces before so I was aware of values. His explanations about each piece was exact and true. I look forward to visiting again. I feel honoured to be able to recommend Van Rijk Estate Jewellery and Watch Buyers to my family and my friends, knowing they will not be taken advantage of. This was my first time meeting this gentleman today, and I am pleased with the results and the care I was shown.
Amazing shop and friendly, accommodating people. I phoned them this morning to reserve this ring (blue topaz with diamonds) that I saw last night. They gladly kept the ring until I was able to pick it up. Reasonably priced - even my husband said he was surprised I didn't buy the ring last night! Happy wife, happy life! :)
