If you want a good burger and some craft beer you’ve picked the best place in town. The food is always fresh and delicious!! The servers are so pleasant, and the overall vibe of the restaurant is great. The location of Whelan’s Gate is so convenient, right off the subway. Highly recommend checking out this pub.

I love this place. Cozy, little neighborhood joint with great music, good prices, chill vibes, and perhaps the best burger in town. The staff and owner are down-to-earth folk who have real personalities (withtout even a hint of pretense) and actually provide attentive service. I think *all* of their food is made in-house, too! NOT traditional, previously frozen bar bites. There’s board games on hand, weekly trivia night (virtually now that it’s the pandemic!), and a great selection of wines—considering this is an Irish pub. The patio out back is adorable, too. One of my favourite places in the Junction/Bloor West ‘hood.
Good food from friendly fine people working in very difficult circumstances. Excellent burger and respect for making delicious gnocchi too. Revive the fries to freshness 1 minute on medium in a fry pan. Remember that this place is among the few that host live music so make sure you do your part to help them keep open during lockdown. Can't wait to have that beer on their back patio.
Great local place that is usually reliable for both food and a good beer selection. Their takeout during the pandemic is not up to par at all. The burger used to be great but the pandemic takeout burger is lacking. Portions are small, like a handful of fries. So lately it's not worth takeout but hopefully they can open up and get back to quality production as usual. The staff are freaking adorable and hilarious the food and drinks are scrumptious and it's seriously a chill place. Love coming here with mates.
