Come here on a few occasions. It is a fun, tasty and interactive dining experience. Everything was very moreish and accompanied the beer really well. Can't wait to come back.

Very fun welcoming and rambunctious atmosphere! The staff and everyone who work here are super friendly and helpful. Food was amazing quality and delicious. Only reason I am giving three stars is because the price for the small portions you receive is definitely not worth it and a bit misleading based on the images of the food that you see on the menu. For first timers like myself and my date we were very enticed by the pictures of the food we saw on the menu. And when it all was brought to the table, we were very much in shock of the small portions compared to the images on the menu! No doubt the quality was top notch and it tasted great! Just wish it was more clear on what your getting. Seems like a little bit of false advertising based on the menu pics. Very fun and outgoing staff though. Enjoyed my time spent there yesterday.

The atmosphere isn't quite as fun as the Carlton location, but this is still one of Toronto's best options for Japanese skewers. Their marinated maguro bowl (unique to this location) might actually be tastier than anything at the Carlton location. Most people I have talked to who live or work on Queen street find it too expensive - especially for the area. Still worth stopping in for a couple skewers and a beer or two!

Great experience, service was on par, and greeted and said goodbye in an authentic and awesome way. Did add up on pricing so be a tad bit careful but such a great time here. Will be returning, and highly suggest trying it out!

First time here, they finally opened! I've seen this place going in since the summer and they finally opened a couple of weeks ago. Decor is fresh and new, pretty modern earthy bohemian feel to it. You can hang your jackets on the walls and the chairs and tables are made out of live edge wood whoch is moxwd with the custom concrete forms throughout the restaurant. Very stylish and bright. Service is great, like many other izakayas, they say hi and bye when you enter and leave. Staff is super friendly. Food is ordered by the skewer for the most part. It come fast and hot. When you order your food with waitstaff they use iPads to send the orders to the kitchen so it's pretty quick for the most part. Average price per skewer is anywhere from 3-6 and I would probably need about 15-20 to be nice and full. Probably about 100 different items to choose from including apps and desserts, think Japanese tapas as the have some really cool house drinks. They also have some samplers that let you try a few different skewers for one price which is nice value. Seating is limited to 3 hours and they actually say ordering drinks only is not cool so be prepared to order at least one skewer. They have separate tables and a sort of communal one at the back and then there's the bar/grill side where the skewer bbqing happens at the back which tends to get pretty warm so beware. Last pro tip, theres a small thim yellowish cup on the table - thats for your used skewer sticks! Definitely would return when I need a quick bite and drink and I definitely recommend to anyone who has not gone before to try.

It’s a small location so expect a wait during dinner times. It’s a new location so it’s not as efficient as it can be, but good thing is that if you leave your name on the clipboard, they’ll call you when it’s your turn. So come early and then expect to do some shopping along Queen St. As expected with most izakaya type places, portions are small and pricey. Ramen is half the size of regular ramen places with the same cost...so that’s the only disappointing thing as I wanted to be filled with something more along with side dishes. That being said, the skewers were great and what they’re known for and the desserts were also really, really good! Highly recommend the matcha ice cream pancake sandwich and you gotta try the warm mochi with ice cream.
