After attending Elite for two sessions, I was able to both raise my SAT score and get help with my college essays, which helped me eventually get accepted into Cornell. Mr. Griggs was the most amazing writing coach and helped me to brainstorm, edit, and finalize my essays on time and in a way that uniquely expressed my perspective. He seems very soft spoken, but he has so much experience and is a really effective teacher. He also taught grammar for morning boot camp when I took it four years ago, and I ended up getting a 790 in writing. It was hard to memorize 50 vocab words every day and take 3 hour practice exams, but looking back, my hard work paid off. The bottom line for me is that regardless of where you go, tutoring and studying is never going to be easy or fun if you want it to be effective and not a waste of time and money. For me and everyone else I know who attended with me, we suffered together but we all ended up improving tremendously, and people in my 2100 summer boot camp ended up going onto Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Stanford and all of the UC's. So it pays off!
