As others have said, just a simply wonderful and wonderfully simple little hotel in the middle of nowhere. Cute young couple live on-site and manage the place. It really is the ONLY thing in the area (besides a camp ground down the road and a small cemetary), no restaurants or places to eat; you have to go 20 miles east or back to Torrey area, so be advised. But that's not really a problem. Probably not the kind of place you would stay at for a week, but great for a night or two. Truly dark skies, for sure. Pool closed, of course. Rooms are perfectly fine. Be advised that there is absolutely zero cellular signal, but they have excellent wifi.

It's in the middle of no where, but that's what I love about it! Peaceful, and can see the stars s bright as day at night, amazing staff, nice clean rooms, cute little set up. It's a humble hotel with much to offer and I would definitely recommend

I stayed here a few days ago, I loved it, my husband and I thought it was just the cutest little place! Everything feels so personal and welcomed, the staff live here so they treat us guests like you would treat a guest in your own home. Covid has caused the pool and ice machine to be shut down, but it doesn't matter! They were kind enough to get us ice from their home. The rooms, lobby and parking lot are so clean!!! You can see the stars and the moon clearly at night, too. We will be staying here again for sure!

A good spot to stop if you aren't a Karen. Made a reservation here at 10p on July 3rd, checked in to a quiet stay at 12p. Staff staged our room key somewhere so we didn't need to bother with it until the morning. Much of the upper floor is roped off - we were one of only two groups of guests so far as we could tell. 11am check out came and went, I tried to do a morning checkout - still no staff. The trash cans around the facility were full at 11 - with the other details it doesn't seem like it got emptied at all. A bottle of Lysol was left in our room on the floor - no big deal as we certainly don't mind doing our own virus control as well. The shower head in 201 can't be pointed straight, and the AC on can be loud enough to wake you on it's shut- off cycle. These are the only major incongruities we noticed.

The room was very clean and nice, the breakfast is a small selection, and the staff was friendly. We chose this hotel because it is close to Capitol Reef NP.
