After a long walk around the centre of Tours we settled on Comme à la Maison (which was one of the first places we saw) and have no regrets. Friendly people, brief but interesting menu, fresh produce well prepared. Extensive wine list at reasonable prices. Well worth a visit.

So pleased we found this place. Small local 3 course menu of delicious fresh food. Service is very friendly as well, I recommend trying the organic red wine.
We spotted this restaurant earlier in the evening. Later we went back to see if we could have a table for two. It was late and the chef and waiter were eating their own dinner. Nonetheless they stopped eating and gave us a table, and we had a fantastic meal of frogs legs with spinach followed by skate with cheese mash potatoes and broccoli. Home cooked food with style. The whole experience was perfect - lovely food, lovely wine, really nice people, all in a relaxed atmosphere. I hope we find our way back to Tours when we will eat there again, and leave a tip this time. We completely forgot to do so - sorry!
Fantastic restaurant - cannot recommend highly enough. Like home cooking but far better than you'd ever be able to make yourself, and very good value too. Excellent wines expertly recommended, first rate service from the lovely chatty owner who explained the entire menu and all the ingredients in English, and very accommodating for our children's needs as well. If we're ever back in Tours we'll be making a return visit!
Outstanding hospitality. The waiter had the best recommendations for us. The local and organic food was excellent and delicious. Definatelly visit this place again at our next stay in tours.
Good meals, good vines...
As a student, this is my usual place to have lunch. The proportions are generous for the prices and they taste good. However, drinking options are limited to canned drinks only.
