Lance inspected a home we were considering purchasing in 2018. His report stated the roof was 1-5 years old with a life expectancy of 15-20 years. He did not mention or note any roof issues. He neglected to tell us the roof was in poor condition due to being improperly installed. We would not have purchased the house if we were made aware of the issues. Now we are 12k out of pocket for a new roof because of what Lance failed to inspect. A roof should be the simplest thing to inspect! I do NOT recommend his services. The roof started leaking in 2019 and has leaked severely in 4 places since. The licensed roof inspector said the roof should never have cleared a home inspection.

Lance performed inspections on three homes we were interested in. The third time was a charm, we bought it in Silverlake. He is very thorough and professional. You cannot go wrong hiring him!

After receiving a list of home inspector, we chose Homeland, which turned out to be the best part of the whole home purchasing process. Due to circumstances, Lance generously came out to do the inspection on his day off. He did a thorough job, explaining everything to me as we went along. He found several items of concern which he brought to our attention, including a propane leak in a fireplace. After it was repaired by an acquaintance of the seller, and unsure of their ability to repair it, we asked Lance to reinspect it. He did so willingly and at no charge. He also updated us on the other items without asking. I couldn't have asked for a more professional inspector and highly recommend his services.
