Great little trail. The fall colors against the river were spectacular. Hiked thru forest of pines, maples, oaks, and also some grassy fields. Only negative was traffic noise. A gem just outside the city.
Close to town.. Close to nature. Great spot for a quick hike and picnic or kayak trip
Great trails! Very senic along the river.
Pretty riverside trail that is paved for wheelchair access, although there are some inclines. This is an out-and-back (not a loop) trail. There is a paved parking lot & trash cans, but no toilet. It is mostly dead now, but the "Lone Pine" (on the south side of the trail) near the trailhead is said to be a virgin pine that survived the logging era. This stretch of the Boardman River is changing as dams are removed & there is currently no access for kayaks/canoes until it stabilizes.
Nice nature trail along the Boardman River... Beautiful! My girlfriend and I had a nice, romantic outing.. walking, talking, holding hands... A awesome day together in one of the many awesome places to visit here in the Great Up North!
A very nice set of trails for any experience level. Some are even paved. Many scenic overlooks and benches. Just be cautious of the steep banks especially with those struggling with gravity.
Beautiful trail. Sometimes noisy due to it being next to a somewhat main road. But depends on where you are on the trail. If you hike in winter bring boots that have grip.
