We love visiting these tiny out-of-the-way churches. If you want to visit a sure like this, you need to be a confident driver on the narrow back Lanes. However, once you get there, it is worth seeing. The church should be open, and stepping into the sanctuary is like stepping back in time.
Tranquil setting with stunning views, this ancient, hidden away little church (the oldest in Wales?), is well worth a trip up from the Conwy valley to see. But please, leave your car in Trefriw and walk on one of the mapped routes (details available in the village) or, like I did, take your trip on a bike. Yes, it's uphill, but if you are physically able it really is the perfect outing to make for positive wellbeing. NB: Roads are very steep and extremely narrow.
Simple and lovely church tucked away in the countryside. Showcasing construction of that period. Definitely worth the walk.
Lovely ancient church reached by a steep road from Treffiw. Stained glass windows and a original font.
