Honest and Meaningful Review about TRI Area Trucking. First I'd like to admit after a shaky start with paperwork enrollment and dealing with S.O.S. was hammered out and I was put on track. ENROLLMENT was not what I was looking for. SOMEONE to teach me the skills I needed not only to Pass a State exam but also a Skilled trade. MY Trainer( Darik Sarko) was more than you could even expect. LOOKING for someone with patiences and nerves of steel this is the guy and Place. I had NEVER drove a Tractor-trailer and this guy worked with me from the start, showed me everything that I need to succeed the first Time at state level and ACTUALLY walk you through real time predicaments and scenarios!!! HE was so calm and knowledgeable throughout my time training. TRI AREA has very KNOWLEDGEABLE staff. I had opportunity to stop in to Freeland, Took a short drive with Mike again great guy!! Nerves of steel also cause I had many of hiccups in the city and he coached to throughout the whole drive when needed. ALL The staff were very polite and experienced. Again couldn't ask for a better training program. I BELIEVE I got more than what I paid for! DEFINITELY would recommend SOMEONE looking to get a CDl and have no experience and would like to get what you need at one place! THANKS everyone at Tri-area for guiding me through my journey.

I called trying to get a copy of my graduation certificate. I got put through to voicemail and blowed off it's costing me a really good job!! Update:The ladies in the office made a mistake and didn't realize the manager was out at the doctor's. The manager called and took care of the situation!!

I was lied to by Dianna. I gave her a specific date of when I NEEDED the class to be finished, and she smiled and said not a problem. less than 2 weeks later, after I paid in full, I was told I couldn't even START my training until after the date I gave her. they are way over priced, but it was local and I assumed you get what you pay for. in this case I did not. HIGHLY recommend taking your money to a business with integrity and employees who will tell you the truth... NOT SATISFIED!!!! UPDATE: I called Ross education (their licensing partner) and I was transferred to a facility in Mt. Pleasant where I could finish as I was promised. It all seemed pretty easy after They found out Ross was involved. Not happy about my 100 mile round trip every day for 2 weeks, but I did it anyway and did receive a passing grade on my test. Long story short, the customer doesn’t matter unless you complain to the right people, and those people aren’t even on Tri Area’s payroll. I have great hopes that Tri area used this as a learning experience on how to treat their well paying customers, but sadly you will have to risk over 4,000 to find out. I made this “update” because Travis (program director) sent one of his guys over to my testing site to talk to me after I passed, asking me to change the review if it was possible. Yes it is possible, and no, Travis, it is not acceptable to run ANY business how you do, let alone a very expensive school. A personal apology was due, and there were multiple opportunities for you to do so while I was at your facility, but no effort was made. At this point, I’m relieved to not have to deal with you again, Travis. I will say, I have the highest respect for Ross, for holding Tri Area responsible for their poor service.

I recommend this school to anyone that’s trying to get there CDL. The trainer was great with me Rick and Jim. They made sure that I got all the proper driving and Instruction that I needed. Took my state test the first time and passed it. Thank you, Tri Area Trucking school.

I have attempted contact with Tri Area to answer an ad that runs for an instructor position. Twice I have received no response from Travis. If this is how this school operates in regards to potential instructors being hired, I would look elsewhere for a CDL school to obtain your CDL.
