Great view south to Marina Sera and North to the Marina's of Andrano and Castro, although the Torre itself is a ruin. Access is confusingly sign posted via orange signs 'Sentiero Torre del Sasso e Vallonee'. Use the excellent OsmAnd Maps (free from PlayStore/iPhone), as well as Geoplan Mappe Monumenti Italia (PlayStore/iPhone) - in Italian but easy to use: just hit the location sign and app will download for where you are in Italy.

È un peccato che sia in quelle condizioni. Andrebbe restaurata prima che crolli completamente.

Torre del Sasso,uno delle 86 torre salentine innalzate nel XVI secolo da Carlo V x la difesa del territorio salentino dall'attacco dei Saraceni o Turchi. Decaduta in alcune sue parti,resta di bellissimo impatto alla vista sulla costa alta di Andrano. Collegata alle altre torri che corrono sulla stessa linea laterale.
