My son had to have an emergency appendectomy. I cannot say enough about the staff at this surgery center. The nurses were fantastic! The surgery went as scheduled and without a hitch. And my son was made to feel like he was the most important person there.......A great experience (or as great as emergency surgery can be)!

The staff was fantastic however the policy of not letting family around the patient when they are put to sleep and when they are in recovery waking up is pretty discouraging. It’s not a medical issue because we have been to other facilities where family can go with the patient. It would be nice to be there for the loved one as they wake up and aren’t feeling well. I wouldn’t recommend based solely on this policy.

I was nervous because I had read all the bad reviews and my surgeries are normally at East Cooper (superb care), but I can honestly say All of my physician's staff (Dr. Heineman) at TSC who helped with my surgery were nice and professional. SUPER commendations to the nurse ( Lisa) who prepped me for surgery. Very gentle, kind and the IV prep was phenomenal. I've had 4 prior surgeries and usually leave with a bloody, bruised hand that's blue, and purple and it usually hurts from beginning to end. Today I felt no pain and no lasting bruises at all. Thank you!
