I really like this castle. From outside looks nice but not that special. Inside you can find interesting exhibitions eg armory one and a beautiful view from the top for the sea, marina and city. Really recommend this place:)

Free entry when I visited. Interesting museums within its walls and a log of history. Amazing views of the town and the Roman ruins below. A must visit location whilst in Trieste.
Well worth a visit if you find yourself in Trieste for some views over the city, a mixture of architecture over several periods. For English only speakers many of the information points here have a translation. If you proceed/ascend to the castle proper away from the church you can access the main part of the castle through a staffed ticketed system (tickets were free August 2020). There are facilities within the castle and around including toilets. For easier access to the site if the hill looks daunting you can use the nearby multistorey car park within the city (Park San Giusto) where there is a lift which will take you up to the castle complex.
Beautiful view on the surrounding city and the ocean. Contains some interesting museums such as the exhibition of Roman artifacts or the armoury.
For me most valuable part of the visit to this museum was the view from the walls on the whole city. The museum exhibition was not hugely interesting but English descriptions were available.
