I would expect from a respectable traditional Italian to have high standard, warm, polite service, homemade and hearty food. Not chips on the side for every meal. Food quality is to desire - something you would find in a British resort abroad versus proper traditional restaurant. The owner is beyond rude and often making people uncomfortable. Not respecting COVID-19 regulations with tables very close by to one another and staff not wearing masks.

Really lovely vibe and great authentic Italian food. All rabita was lush and the chips were amazing.

Excellent food, very friendly owners and staff. I will definitely return again. It has a lovely family feel and the prices are very reasonable.

I adore this restaurant! They have delicious dishes, they have a rich menu, The chief cook in that restaurant is a real authority in the kitchen, I love very much tasting all their dishes. The dishes are always good, the attitude towards the guests is very good too. I visit often this restaurant and I was never discontended. I recommend it to all.

A character full authentic feeling restaurant, but unfortunately seems to be taking shortcuts. My first visit to Francesco's was brilliant. Good food, great portions and a real nice feel. However this time round, the food lacked personality and felt ready-made. Starter: Opting for the plain garlic bread (as I had previously tried the bruschetta, mushroom topped and cheese topped variants), when it arrived it was a ready-made slice that you buy from the supermarket. This was a real shame as my recollection was of a really nice yet unusual soft bread texture, but this explains why. Main: Onto the mains, I opted for the penne alla pesto (which I remembered enjoying last time I visited). Again this was disappointing. The pasta was cooked well, but the sauce was so familiar in taste that I am sure it was a ready-made jar sauce. Even the look of the dish had changed from a lovely paste like sauce last time, to now a very oily pesto which tastes exactly like the supermarket variant. I can't be 100% sure on this but it does feel that Francesco's are using shop bought sauces to tackle with the busy periods that weekends bring. This is such a shame as it was somewhere I would normally rave about to friends and family, but after my latest visit, I'm not sure I would go again. Venue: The venue is lovely with wooden beams and again a very authentic feel to it. Feels like you could be in a small Italian village. The table cloths however were full of stains and crumbs from previous guests. Overall: So much potential and used to be even better. Sadly the standards appear to have dropped and now the meal could be replicated at home.
