My first visit to the Trisikkha meditation center at Plant City, FL was in 2017. It was a memorable experience. I have been coming back every year ever since. The center is quiet and safe. Detailed instructions about insight meditation are provided not only in Thai but also in English. During the 10-day course, participants wake up everyday at 3:30 am for the first prayer session at 4 am. The meditation practice during these 10 days is pretty intense - consisting of many hours of sitting and walking meditation. Although suitable for serious practitioners, beginners are welcome as well. There is good vegetarian food available upon request. Light volunteer work is expected but not required.

I love meditating here. The place is suitable for both walking and sitting meditation. There is a major difference between coming for the Sunday sessions and the retreats though. The Sunday sessions are a great way to try out mindfulness meditation. For the retreat, you are really required to work hard spiritually. (Some have called these retreats, "meditation bootcamps"). If you stick with the program until the end, there is a very high likelihood that you will become more mindful. After the retreat, though, it is up to you to maintain the practice. Otherwise, you may regress. For day visits and facility tours, it is best to visit the months of January, May, June, July, November, and December. For the rest of year - I would recommend making an appointment via phone or email so that someone is there to open the gate for you.

Just shared a 10 day retreat which covered Budda's teaching about Dharma and mindfulness and including 9 days of observing silence. It was hard work but with effort and forbearance it was well worth it. I have to admit I felt like leaving a few times, thankfully I humbled myself and followed the guidance of staff and teacher You will leave with tools/skills that will aid in increasing your awareness in mindfulness which will allow you to be happy in your daily. I highly recommend this retreat to everyone. Thank you to everyone there and our teacher Willie

Great learning experience there from the first class until current. Great teacher, Ajahn Willie, who is very knowledgeable, and has special ability to fix your meditation. I have never seen anyone like him in the U.S. Highly recommend this place.

Insight meditation: "Between the two poles of expression and suppression lies a third option, mere observation." By applying skillful observation, through such practice, you will discover a simplistic, yet subtle, way to cope with your daily life's stress and difficulties. What I learned here is considered a light at the end of the tunnel to me.

Since my first visit to the Trisikkha Center, I was able to find my "GPS to end sufferings." all THANKS to our teacher, Ajahn Willie. He has shown us, step by step, the roadmap to Nirvana and I have learned what the true teachings of Lord Buddha are. I'm so greatful. Indeed! The Trisikkha center is surrounded by nature and creates an environment that is ideal for practicing. The food is also good and i've enjoyed every meal. All of the founders, supporters, volunteers and Nun JJ are so kind and friendly. Therefor a big THANKS to them all ! I have found my path and I'm ready to take this journey, whatever or whenever it may be, until I reach my destination-- step by step, with joyful heart. I will certainly return to the center to further learn, practice and serve.
