Pull in, right in time to get front row parking for dog to go. Bathroom's where open, clean and pet friendly. No dog poo when we got there. Hade a great time at exercise area, no issues. Tank Gresham Oregon

This is a good pull-off spot in the summertime and in the spring as well during the winter not so much. It's right off Old highway 30 very easily accessible, and is used for parking for activities on the Sandy River and Columbia. The thousand acres dog park is across 84 from this parking lot. There's very high traffic volume, which makes it too loud and noisy. I prefer to visit many other spots going eastbound on 84. Multnomah falls, Wyeth campground, and Starvation Creek are good if you're looking for something to do

Naturally a beautiful spot but there's some unauthorized camping activities that make some areas closer to the Columbia river feel sketchy. The Sandy is a temperate river to swim in over the summer. Some areas get filled with yahoos having no consideration to pick up their garbage and to leave a place as pristine as they found it. We did a socially distanced late November birthday with a great view of sunset, the river and passing trains. Even on a winter weekend they ticketed so don't park where it says not to!

This is a small park with picnic benches and an interpretive nature path. There's good swimming in the Sandy River just up the road (extremely popular in the summer). The bathrooms were open in February. One of the paths splits to a popular climbing/bouldering area, but I did not venture up there. There's also an unmarked and mostly unmapped trail that leads East up into the hills. I hiked for about 45 minutes on this pleasant, out and back path and never found the end. Found out later it's called Lewis And Clark Trail 400, but all the maps show it ends wayyy before it does.... I wonder if it even has an end!

My Partner and I walk around this trail about once a month or so. We can bring grandma and the dog and have a nice day out of the house. I only lowered a star because of Stinging Nettles (which got me for the first time today), and holes in the grass which was tough on my pups paws. Still a great park and we love to walk the waterways !
