I have been a patient at MIU for several years and have never waited an exorbitant amount of time as other reviewers have mentioned. Dr. Kernen, the ultrasound tech, Karen Marzella and others have been kind, professional and helpful. I recently visited with Dr. Nagaraju who was pleasant and informative. Just yesterday, I had to endure a Urodynamics test and the tech was AWESOME! She had an incredibly calming bedside manner! Thanks, MIU, for helping me through some less-than-enjoyable times.

I do not recommend this office if you are looking for a specialist that treats their patients as individuals rather than people that are trying to make their lives harder. I understand it has been a crazy year, but I have been a patient for 4 years and have never had a good experience with the staff or the accessibility of this practice. They do not offer same day appointments for emergencies. For a specialty office, it seems like I have explained my reason for coming to them way too many times to count, they never take the time to look at my history and my situation is constantly disregarded. When speaking with the staff on the intake call I feel that they are not listening to understand, they are listening to respond. I have never felt sympathy and only feel discouraged and frustrated after each phone call. There has been 3 situations where I called and was directed to the triage nurse and they could offer no help to me except to tell me I needed to go to my primary care office because they couldn’t fit me in. I saw a NP there that put me on an antibiotic I was allergic to. I have been in the hospital 2 times for infections that progressed before they could fit me in for an appointment, even after explaining that my situations always progress faster, hence why I was referred to a specialist. I have always had pleasant experiences with Dr. Sobol. Unfortunately, everything else has been a disappointment.

Front desk staff useless. Showed up for 2pm appointment with 93 year old. Desk says appointment is for 2:40. I show them my email confirmation for 2pm and asked if I have to wait 40 minutes. Not a peep for a reply back. You may have a good physician here, but getting to them is wrought with disgust.

Poor management of letting someone know what amount is due for surgery, as well as not willing to work with a patient that has insurance, not an elective surgery either. Would not recommend the customer service, the office/billing staff need to get their act together. Very disappointed.

Great doctors, very nice people in the office, has been patient in the office for 7 years. Never waited longer than 30min which is expected. Test are done professionally and efficiently.
