If you're looking for quilt type fabric this is a great place. They had a wide selection of patterns and colors--lots of traditional and fun stuff, some trendy. I had to leave before I stocked up on things I didn't need, since I hadn't come for quilt type fabric (I was looking for upholstery, which they had just a tiny bit of since they're phasing out of that (also my reason for 4 stars)). The owner directed me to a local shop (Bolt) where she said I could find what I was looking for, and encouraged me to follow Pookie's on facebook, which is where they post their classes and things. I'll look forward to returning when I'm making items with cotton fabric. It'll be a good resource for my future holiday and baby gifts.

I was really looking forward to going to this store, but was I ever disappointed! There is very little quality fabric, totally disheveled and just a mess! I’ve never been to a worse place. There was a Christmas quilt kit there still with the Flying Geese sticker on it. I bought the same kit at least 10 years ago from Flying Geese. This place looks like they buy close outs and merchandise from stores going out of business. The highlight was the very pleasant woman who works there. I expected so much more but didn’t find it at Pookie’s.
What a great Gem. Lovely place. The proprietor is very knowledgeable about sewing. Check it out for yourself.

There is a very wide selection that is well organized into colors and specialty groups, such as child, holiday fabrics, etc. Staff is very helpful. Great store!
