I can’t say how disappointed I am with Treliske hospital ophthalmology dept. My 2 year old daughter had many medical issues and spends a lot of time in and out of various hospital appointments so, I understand that late appointments are part of the game. What is not acceptable is making a 2 year child wait over 2.5 hours for that appointment, and not just once on many occasions. Avoid this department at all cost, ask for an appointment else where.

I applaud the staff at the eye unit. I hold much gratitude to them. They are over worked; it must be exceptionally difficult in times of covid! I'm aware Dr Madjavani hadnt had a lunch break when he lazered my eye after 5pm. We are blessed to have an NHS service whereby we can wait and receive treatment the same day when necessary. Yes, even if that mean waiting as long as it takes between patients. Humankind needs to learn patience and practise gratitude more often. Thankyou all who keep the unit working.
