I am very pleased with the care my 12 yr old son has gotten at Trustpoint. I work in psych myself and I was very surprised at their high level of care. His doctor and social worker were very caring and informative, and communicated with me a lot. The nurses and techs all really cared about my son, and went the extra mile to help him deal with his emotions. This is an amazing acute care hospital, and I highly recommend it!!

I brought my daughter in here in hopes she would come out feeling better. Although it was quite the opposite. She came out even worse than before. Her food was spoiled. She wasn’t given shampoo or body wash. She was given an OLD toothbrush and USED deodorant. She sat in her room most of the time and there were none of the promised activities. She didn’t receive any help what so ever. I’m so disappointed. Under NO circumstances do I recommend taking your children or loved ones here. I wish I could give this a lower score.

Let me start by saying, inpatient stays are scary. No matter where you go. What was different with Trustpoint is that they made sure my care continued after I was released. They didn't just put a bandaid on my problems, they helped me to heal my wounds completely with the intensive outpatient program. Counselors Chloe, Shandie, and Mai were amazing. They care about their patients and do their best to give you the tools you need to overcome trauma. Trustpoint also did everything they could to make the process affordable for me. If you need help, go here. Understand that it will be scary for a bit, but things do get better.

My husband was released from Vanderbilt hospital at around 5pm on Feb 5th, 2020. I arrived at Trustpoint after he did at around 6:10 pm. He was in his assigned a room and no meds had been started at all. They brought in a plastic IV drip machine and hung it in the wall. The LPN could NOT get the machine to thread the IV tubing at all . She called in 3 more and they COULDN'T get it started ??? At around 8pm \ I WAS ASKED\ to call the 7th floor Nurses station at Vandy where he had been hospitalized for last 39 days and get a list of his meds he was needing to take while there.. ot once but twice\! He finally got his first meds at around 11:30pm that night. After 3 other medical staff members tried to thread the IV machine someone finally got it running !!! We were told on Wed 17th, 2020 that in order for him to go home he had to pass a swallowing test . She said they were going to give him another test. But due to the weather the person giving the test couldn't make it in either time . We were also told that there were 4 fazes to the swallowing test before reg foods could be eaten. He is only on faze 2 and still choking on certain things in 2 . Upon my arrival home I was told he was going home without the test being done. They had NOT ORDERED his meds nor the equipment needed at home . When I spoke to them I imformed them that our heat pump on our heating unit was not working asking them to let him stay till Monday so it could be fixed. The social worker imformed me that he could stay till Saturday (today) Feb. 20th, 2021 . So even though our thermostat is reading only 59 I have to pick up my Vietnam Veteran husband today at 11:00 am and take him home to a cold house !!! Also he had appointments at Vanderbilt that he was NEVER taken to , to see his Specialist while there. Also food is lousy there !!! I wouldn't recommend Trustpoint to anyone .
