I’ve been a patient of Habiba for almost 2 years now, and I cannot recommend her enough. She has helped me work through and understand my thoughts and emotions, and continues to equip me with tools to navigate life at its toughest moments. Her guidance has allowed me to grow emotionally and build healthy thought habits, which continue to positively impact my life. I genuinely believe the world would be a much better place if everyone had Habiba in their lives.

I've been seeing Habiba for 3 years and love coming here every other week. She's made a huge difference in my life and overall mental health and I cannot recommend her enough!

I rarely write bad reviews, and after a few weeks of deciding on if I should, I realized I had to. Reviews are supposed to help people make informed decisions and I wish this review had been written when making my own decision about a 1st therapy experience. I had not been to someone before for therapy, and developed a strong, trusting bond with my therapist. So far as to recommend this practice to many friends, and my family. But then, almost overnight, both the manager of the practice and my therapist turned on me and my husband claiming I worded a question wrong. I had no idea there was \correct phrasing\ during private sessions. [And no, it had nothing to do with self-harm or anything dangerous.] They proceeded by sharing our private details without permission, forcing us into joint sessions that we weren't ready for and their response was \do it or quit\. We did it, because my husband needs their help, and even after we did the joint-session, the owner refused to treat us! It has been weeks and I'm still in shock because we didn't do anything wrong. Crazy part is, we weren't even upset with them, and wanted to proceed with treatment bc we were on the brink of separating, and I was personally in the middle of a delicate EMDR trauma session. We are struggling to continue on with our individual and marital issues now, feeling more vulnerable than ever before. Needless to say, the next therapist will 1st need to address the trauma caused by this therapist. I agree with the 5-stars in the description of the capabilities to help those in need. But don't be surprised if one day you're blind-sided and then kicked to the curb from a disproportionate reaction to a non-issue. Tread carefully, or simply look elsewhere.

I have been seeing Habiba for 15 months, and I have also seen Jen separately for about three months. This is a business review, so I will begin with that: my therapists are very responsive with inquiries and scheduling, and very accommodating when I need to reschedule. If I need a break, they are very accommodating in letting me decide when I need to come back, and when I do they usually get me in within a week. Pricing is clearly discussed and is very fair (dare I say, cost effective) for the service being received. As with most therapists, Habiba and Jen have different styles, and both of them are fantastic. Whether you see them in person or remotely, they are attentive and somehow they remember exactly where you left off last time. They are timely, honest, supportive, direct, and most importantly respectful. They challenge you to make positive changes, and support you in those changes. I have never felt confused, silenced, disenfranchised or taken advantage of while in their care, which I have experienced with other doctors. While Habiba is the business owner, she does have a diverse team of therapists that are equipped to assist with many different areas. North Star Counseling is an incredible resource for anyone in the Atlanta area, and I truly cannot recommend this practice enough to anyone who is thinking about asking for help with individual, relationship, or familial obstacles.

I have never written a review on a business. I felt the need to do so on Habiba given the exceptional care I have been receiving. She WILL retrain your brain if you're willing...It has not been easy. I know, in the end, freedom from the bondage of self will be the reward. One review has me completely baffled. For anyone to character assassinate Habiba in that manner is ABSURD. I guess that's where bitterness, hatred and LIES come in. Anyone who has sought therapy with Habiba knows she is nothing like what is being described.. IF this has anything to do with couples therapy (I am assuming) Habiba makes it VERY clear in the documents one must sign before even starting therapy with her that she will NOT keep secrets. Furthermore, I believe it is her passion to help others. Bottom line, don't believe everything you read.
