Land rights access lawsuit and/or legislation waiting to happen. Inflated property values that owners at X9 ranch use as selling points on their listings, through essentially landlocking federal land via a questionably revoked public easement and keeping general public out. Owners are regularly using federal lands for their own private use and enjoyment, while restricting access to the public. Exactly the sort of thing that federal acts were designed to protect against. Fortunately progress is being made regarding the criminalization of locked / restricted gates that provide access to public lands. Hopefully this unethical behavior stops and public access easement is granted to the use of the public's land in that area providing access to the beautiful Rincon mountains. These are public goods, not private property!

This trailhead and the manning camp trailhead are not accessible to the public. Halfway down S X9 Ranch Rd. There is a gate where they will deny you access if you intend to hike.
